Tropical Islands of Satun Province – Thailand
Satun is the southernmost province on Thailand’s west coast, bordering Malaysia directly south. Satun is blessed with dozens of gorgeous tropical islands that are dripping in dense jungle, rimmed by picture-perfect beaches and surrounded by coral reefs. They are any tropic lover’s dream.
Most of Satun’s islands fall within Tarutao National Park, not open to commercial development. They are for the most part well-preserved natural habitats.
In great contrast is Koh Lipe with its plethora of resorts, shops, restaurants, bars and tour operators. It’s a ‘hot spot’ for Thai tourists.
Finally, the low-key Koh Bulon group of islands lie slightly north, offering visitors laid-back thatched bungalows and a sparkling golden-sand beach.
This photo gallery presents 60 images of Satun islands’ beaches, sunsets & sunrises, forests & animals, traditional boats and scenic views. Please enjoy!
